Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) is the vitamin that causes your urine to be the bright orange/yellow color. You are not just peeing all your b-vitamins out. When we infuse any vitamin, it increases the concentration substantially to move these crucial vitamins into the cell. Any excess vitamins will be urinated out of the body since they are water soluble and nontoxic. Vitamin B2 is important in breakdown of fats. So if you are following a ketogenic diet, high fat diet or having trouble metabolizing fat you may need extra Vitamin B2. Vitamin B2 is also crucial in supporting your bodies production of glutathione. Glutathione is the most important antioxidant in your body. It protects you from many harmful chemicals and oxidative stress. Vitamin B2 supports the enzyme MAO. MAO is epigenetically expressed in different amounts from person to person. MAO is important in the metabolism in histamine and serotonin. There are phosphorylated forms of Vitamin B2 that more readily utilized orally than non-phosphorylated forms. We find IV delivery is the best as 100% is delivered to the cells. We utilize Vitamin B2 in our proprietary IV Fast Track, IV Support formulas and our Glutathione support formula’s. Vitamin B2 can be found in almost all of our IM Nutrient shots.
